The job profile
As an automotive mechatronics technician, you are an expert in the respective vehicle, depending on your specialization. You are able to analyze electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems, identify errors and malfunctions, and then resolve them. As an automotive mechatronics technician, you test the repaired or serviced vehicle to ensure that it is functioning properly (again). Customer service also plays a role. It is also the job of an automotive mechatronics technician to advise customers on vehicle maintenance and to formulate recommendations for preventing future problems.
Furthermore, they may work with alternative drive systems such as electric, hybrid, and hydrogen. Automotive mechatronics technicians are well-versed in the specifics of these drive systems and possess the specific knowledge and skills to repair and maintain these vehicles.
